While the Ranch is recognized Internationally for its incredible Cattle and Horse genetics. It has also developed the finest quality Kurobuta Dining Pork on the Planet. Initially the English Berkshire was bred by the British Royal Family at Windsor Castle for their personal use. Queen Victoria cared for and managed the Royal herd personally. In 1875 the Queen sent one of her prized boars to America in order to establish an American herd. It is said that all Berkshire/Kurobuta pigs in America trace back to this single boar “Ace of Spades”. The breed was further refined by Japanese Breeders developing the present day Kurobuta.
